  1. Emmerson says:

    ~Achievement~
In my life, achievement is a great feeling that you get when you accomplish something that you worked hard at. For example, I went to PSIA (the academic meet for private schools) and won gold medals for events that I worked really hard on. That experience made me feel amazing, and I will try to achieve that again this year.
When I achieve something, I always know that I am doing it for the glory of God. Everything you do, and every gift that was given to you, was from the Lord, so do all things through Him.
Even if you don’t always achieve what you expected, never give up doing something that you enjoy. Practice more, and push yourself to try harder, and there will be no telling what you can achieve.

    ACHIEVEMENT
What does society view as an achievement?
We view an achievement as something that gets us into a better position in life. Whether that is in education, popularity, in sports, etc… but these things- these earthly things will truly get us nowhere. Winning a contest is great if you do it in God’s name, but we usually then use this fame to cherish earthly things such as buying ones self a car. I am not saying that the action of buying the car is bad but buying it because you want to,” Worship” it is not a good thing. This is called idolatry. It can mean to give praise to a god that is not the real God. You may not consider your car as a god but if it takes up a place in your heart then it is. An achievement that is good in God’s eyes would be something like volunteering at a soup kitchen. It is not for you it is for others. Another achievement would be to do your vocation. A vocation is your purpose in life that God has given to you. It can be things such as being a parent, a soldier, a CEO, and so on. As long as what you are doing you are doing it God’s name and with his best interests at heart, any achievement can be good.

God says to do everything we do through Him.
Whenever you achieve something, like winning a game or doing great on a test you feel amazing. You feel like you have earned what you did. But really God is the one who did it for you. He gave you those skills knowledge to do what you did. We should be thanking and praising Him and not just ourselves. We should acknowledge Him for what He has done for us.
When ever you have finished what you have wanted to achieve you set a new goal, and God is there to know that you can achieve that goal too. But only with the help of God.

  4. Kyndal Robinson says:

    ACHIEVEMENT
Achievement is a huge factor in my life. I am a very competitive person and I hate to not achieve my goals. I have achieved some very important things in my life, but none of them can compare to what Jesus Christ did for the world. No one has done anything even close to what God did. Even though he achieved his goal to give everyone a chance to receive eternal life, some people throw that out of the window. We try to be like Jesus, but there is not a chance that we can go a day without sinning. But, God sees you pure and great through Jesus, and we don’t deserve that. If you have become a Christian, then you have automatically received eternal life through faith in Jesus. So, with that, achievement is a good thing if you use it in a good way, always put God first on your goal list

    Achievement
Whenever you achieve something whether its a test, trick, sports or something ,you did it with the gifts God has given to you.” We don’t have the right to claim that we have done anything on our own.God gives us what it takes to do all that we do.” Everything you do, do it with the help of God. Next time you achieve your achievement think of God and thank Him and praise him for everything he has done for you.

  6. Chloe says:

When we hear the word “achievement”, we think of things such as winning a game, or accomplishing your goals. The best thing that was ever achieved, was God saving all of us from death. Because of Jesus Christ we are saved. Most people probably don’t think of achievement in this way, but it is the best and easiest way to think about it. Jesus achieves His goals every day when more people become Christians. Some people don’t realize everything God has done for them. The goals that they achieve, is from God working through them, and some people don’t even realize that. Everything we have, is because of God. We can show God how great He is by going to church, reading the Bible and praising Him. A goal everyone should have, is being a good Christian and we should all try to achieve that goal. Even though we are sinful, God still loves us and forgives us for our sins. The next time you ever achieve something, even if its winning a game, or reaching your goal, remember who gave you the ability to do that, and that He is working through you.

  7. Natalie says:

Achievement-A thing done successfully, typically by effort, courage, or skill. Achievement should be a huge factor in everyone’s life. To achieve something for me, is as if I have conquered the world. You can achieve something in any way that you choose, such as, academics, sports, or other activities. Even if you don’t meet your goal, keep on setting goals for yourself and soon you will achieve your goal. God put us on the Earth for a purpose, and we should set ourselves high standards just as he has for us.

  8. Ty Pesl says:

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm -Ralph Waldo Emerson-
What I got out of this famous saying was if you don’t want to achieve than you won’t. Anything that you do will only achieve if you put Time, Attitude, and Enthusiasm in it. If I don’t want to do something than must likely i won’t achieve at it because I don’t care enough but if I want to learn sign language because my brother is speechless than I will learn it because I care to learn it. I think everything is easier to understand if I put it into a story so… You are grounded from your phone for a week but you really want to use it so you ask your dad if you can use it and take a break from your break from your phone(that is pretty confusing). Your dad has a kind heart and says yes but only if you clean the dishes, wash the windows, clean the gutters, sweep the floor, and polish the roof; than you can play on your phone for 1 hour you will not like it but you will do it because you want your phone back.

  9. Harrison Bender says:

    Achievement
It something you work hard for somehting. Something you put blood, sweat, and tears into. You cannot achieve something without enthuisam and motivation(unlees youre trying to achieve being unenthusiastic and unmotivated). An acheivement can range from winning a ribbon at PSIA or winning the election and becoming the president. But they dont just happen, achievements take time, so if you really want to achieve something you try your best on it. Achievement can be made through God with 2 Corinthians 3.5(We don’t have the right to claim that we done anything on our own.God gives us what it takes to do all that we do). He gives the strength and encouragement to go out and achieve good things. Achievement- Something accomplished succesfully, especially by means of exertion, skill, practice,or perserverance. So in short, work hard and you will achive your dreams.Yes, I know thats cheesy, but whatever.

When i had a football game our achievement was to win; but near the end with 1 minute 30 seconds left the score was 21-20 the other team was winning. So we had to step it up and hope for the best and at the end of the game the store was 21-28 we won and that was our achievement.
